The City's Transportation Division will be hosting a follow up public input meeting to discuss further options for addressing traffic flow along Glasgow Street (see "News" Page for more info).  The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Avalon Alliance Church.


John Lake School Kindergarten Parent Information Evening - January 19 at 6:30 p.m. John Lake School extends a warm invitation to all children fiver years old on or before January 31, 2018 to attend their school in the fall of 2017. 


Get involved!  Programs are coordinated by volunteers and we need you!  Inquire within - no previous experience necessary.

The Hub Club will be attending our January 25 meeting at 7:30 p.m. to introduce themselves,  speak more to their program, and answer any questions.

The Avalon Community Association blossomed south of Ruth Street between 1946 and 1960, and has continued to grow. The Association plans, coordinates, and administers seasonal programs for all age groups, from adult fitness to babysitting courses to toddler activities. Programs are offered, at minimal cost, to members and meet the expressed needs of the community.
