Thank you, Ariane!

The ACA Board is sad to announce the retirement of our longest serving board member, Ariane Zerr.

Ariane has donated 30 years of her time to the Avalon Community Association and other Community Associations in a variety of roles; she has held every position on the Board of Directors and has shared her talents through instructing children and adults in various crafts and ceramics classes throughout the years. Her wealth of knowledge and experience of the community will be missed by all of us!

Ariane was the original Director of Events who brought the ever popular avaLAWN afFAIR to our community; an event that will mark its 10th anniversary this year.

Please join us in sincerely thanking Ariane for her commitment for our community over the past 3 decades. We wish her and Larry all the best as they enter the next chapter of their lives.

Avalon Community Rink is Now Open!

Grab your skates and head on out, because skating season is here!

Public skating is scheduled, unless the temperature is above 0 or below -25 with the windchill:

Mondays & Wednesdays: 6-8 pm

Sundays: 1-3 pm

The boot room will be open during these times so there is a warm place to put on your skates. Have a new or beginner skater in your family? No problem! During public skate times skate aids are available.

Please be respectful of other skaters and the ice! The ACA assumes no responsibility/liability for lost items, accidents or other incidents that occur on the rink.

Volunteers are needed to assist with supervising the public skating.  Please email [email protected] if you are able to help out so we can continue to keep the boot room open. And we always appreciate it if everyone can assist with shoveling the rink of snow and ice to keep the rink clean: when a couple people shovel it goes quickly.

Looking forward to seeing you all out on the ice!
