The Avalon Community Rink at John Lake Park
It’s the best time of the year!
The Rink at John Lake Park is now officially open to the public!

Hockey nets will be available for use in the next few days

We ask that you keep the following in mind when using the rink:
-please keep a 3 meter distance from others
-maximum of 30 people on the ice surface at a time
-helmets must be worn at all times
-the ACA assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items, injury, damage to personal property or any mishaps while using the ice
-please be respectful of the ice and others
-do NOT use the ice when it is above 0 or below -25 (with the windchill) as this can damage the ice
Supervised public skating will be during the following times:
-Sundays 1-3pm
-Mondays & Wednesdays 6-8pm
We do not have access to the school boot room as in previous years but we will have skate aids available for new/beginning skaters during public skate times.
**
Please, ensure that children are not throwing debris, including snow/snowballs, on the ice surface! Not only does this create more work for our rink guys to clean, but this is a safety hazard because it creates lumps of ice under the surface.**

A huge thank you to Chad Malinowski & Mike McPhail – our “Rink Guys” – for all their hard work in ensuring we continue to have the BEST rink in the city!
